The hospital operates some guest houses that provide accommodation to visitors to the institution and others. The houses have a combined capacity of 15 rooms that can either be occupied by a single tenant or several.

The rooms are always fully booked and our staff have had to turn away many people due to lack of accommodation. The houses are located within the hospital site where security is assured.

Our housekeeping staff strive to maintain high standards of cleanliness while the interrupted supply of electricity (the hospital owns a 250-kva standby generator) is an added advantage. The location of the houses, in a serene atmosphere - away from the hustle and bustle of town life, has attracted many clients.

There is a limited availability of guest houses reserved for long-term occupancy. Visiting foreign and national medical, nursing and other technical staff on internship or short-term residency programmes usually occupies these houses.

Some of the old hospital wards have been converted into nice cubicles to accommodate participants in the many seminars and workshops held in the area.

The hospital board is contemplating constructing more guest houses to meet the demand. However, lack of funds to meet this need is posing a challenge.
