The unit is staffed by a dental officer (who heads the unit), Dr. Japheth Cheruiyot; a newly posted Community Oral Health Officer (COHO), a Community Oral Health Officer on internship and a Patient Attendant.

Between January1st 2008 and November 22nd 2008, a total of 3,632 dental patients were seen and treated.

Some of the most common cases attended to include; teeth extractions, rooting canal therapy, scaling and amalgam filling. The unit acquired a composite light curing machine during the year which greatly boosted its activities. However, the dental unit posed a challenge as it continually broke down hampering service provision.
